The Victims Centre has been established by Gambian activists to coordinate and organize victims of the military dictatorship (1994-2016). The photo exhibition was held to help Gambians put faces to the names of people whose rights have been abused by Jammeh, Programme Officer at the Victims Center Ayesha Jammeh told JusticeInfo.Net.
Portraits to remember
The opening of the exhibition, titled "Portraits to remember", was attended by several prominent Gambians including Hassoum Ceesay, the curator and executive director of the National Centre for Arts and Culture and Baba Galleh Jallow, executive secretary of Truth, Reconciliation and Reparation Commission.
